Tired but happy!

The Sask Valley Ride took place May 27, 2006 approximately 3 miles west of Warman (one mile south and 2 miles east of the ferry). This was the first time the ride had been held (but hopefully not the last). There was a 15 mile introductory ride, 25 and 35 mile limited distance rides and 50 mile endurance ride.

It was a successful ride, with 21 riders in total. Once costs were covered, we made just under $400. This was donated to the Equine Health Research Fund at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine.

Special thanks go to Dr. Hamilton for donating his time, Janice Sutherland for all her help with organizing the event, and to Sharon Elder, Dr. Dowling, Mr. Dowling, Julie Thompson, Bruce Guest and Laurie Klassen for helping me find the trails.

It was a cold, windy day with occassional spurts of drizzle. Everyone came and had fun anyway...some real Canadians there!
